Devlog: SUPER Euli Beuli – From Idea to Release
Hello everyone,
today is a big day for us at ROEGA™ – we just wrapped up the development of SUPER Euli Beuli and are preparing for release. It has been a long journey, and I’d like to share a bit about how this project came to life.
The Idea
The concept for SUPER Euli Beuli has been in my mind since 2022. I always wanted to create a small but polished platformer, something that feels fun and lighthearted but also challenges players who want to dig deeper. Euli Beuli, our main character, was imagined as a quirky little hero who has to rescue his foster father Elefäntchen after his mysterious disappearance.
Development Process
Although the idea is older, I finally started real development in September 2025. It was an intense month – designing levels, creating the story, polishing the gameplay. There were moments when I thought we would not make it in time, but with a lot of determination we pushed through.
SUPER Euli Beuli now features:
12 levels across 6 different themes
Secrets to discover (alternate exits and hidden paths)
A mix of easy and tricky jumps to keep you on your toes
A short but replayable experience, perfect for speedrunners
Challenges Along the Way
The hardest part was scope. As an indie team, our resources are limited. I had friends telling me to delay the release and add more features, but I wanted to stay true to the original promise: finish and release the game instead of endlessly polishing. So here we are – the game is finished, and I am proud of what we achieved.
What’s Next?
SUPER Euli Beuli is just one step on our journey. We already have ideas for new projects, including a bigger shoot ’em up but for now I hope you will enjoy exploring all the secrets in SUPER Euli Beuli.
Thank you all for your support – it means the world to a small team like us. If you play the game, let us know your thoughts.
